The Jyväskylä Sinfonia chamber concert
The Jyväskylä Sinfonia chamber concert features an interesting selection of 20th century music, performed by a woodwind quintet. The quintet consists of flautist Aapo Järvinen, oboist Nahoko Kinoshita, clarinettist Gil Shaked-Agababa, bassoonist Emil Fuchs and French horn player Jussi Järvenpää.
The opening and closing numbers will celebrate the 100th anniversary of two composers, Ursula Mamlok and György Ligeti. The opening number is Ursula Mamlok’s Woodwind Quintet, followed by Maurice Ravel’s Le tombeau de Couperin. The third number is Georges Auric’s Trio for Oboe, Clarinet and Bassoon, and the evening closes with György Ligeti’s Six Bagatelles.
